Who we are

We are here for you. SARI provides free and confidential support for anyone who is a victim of hate crime across Avon and Somerset. Whether that’s based on race, faith, disability, sexual orientation, transgender identity, age, or sex. We also work to build greater understanding and respect for diversity and difference within our community.

What is hate crime?

If someone is violent or hostile towards you, just because of who you are, who they think you are, or what you believe in, it’s a hate crime. And that’s against the law.

How we can help

If you’ve been a victim of hate crime or want to help someone who has, we’re here to give help, support and advice. Our service is free and completely confidential. And our team speak many different languages – so don’t worry if your English isn’t good.

What our clients say

For us, the most powerful and rewarding part of the work that we do, is hearing how we’ve helped our clients. Whether that’s giving them information, helping them find their own path, supporting them through their journey, or hearing they no longer live in fear. This is what makes our work worthwhile.
