You shouldn’t have to put up with this

Hate crime is wrong. Even if it seems like a small incident, it can quickly spiral out of control. So the sooner you ask us to help resolve the situation the better. Why not talk to us today?

Our trained staff can offer support and advice to deal with hate crime or take positive action – and it’s all free and completely confidential.

Ways we can help

Compassionate support. We’ll provide a safe, understanding space where you can share your experiences openly, guided by professionals who are here to listen and help.

Explore your options for justice together. We’ll look into whether legal action is a possibility, standing by you every step of the way.

Encourage and empower others to stand with you. We work with other organisations to take action on your behalf, amplifying your voice and your needs.

Help you make your voice heard. Whether it’s a complaint against a business or organisation, we’ll help ensure your concerns are addressed.

Connect you to the right resources. We’ll introduce you to other services that can provide additional support tailored to your needs.

Offer safety and peace of mind. If you’re feeling unsafe, we’ll work together to create a plan to help you feel secure and supported.

Did you know?

80% of people feel physically and emotionally better because of our help.

Our referral process.

  1. The victim contacts us in person, by phone, or online. (Note: This applies to in-person and phone referrals.)
  2. The duty project worker (or in some areas outside Bristol, the Outreach Development Worker) completes a referral form and submits it to the allocations team. This team meets every Tuesday or Thursday to decide which project worker should be assigned to the case, aiming to ensure the best possible outcome for the victim. In some cases, SARI may signpost the victim to a more specialist organisation, depending on the nature of the enquiry.
  3. Once a project worker is allocated the case, they will reach out to open the case.

You can trust SARI

We’ve been helping the victims of hate crime since 1991 and many of our staff have personal experience of coping with it. So we understand the impact it can have on your life – and will do all we can to stop it from happening.

Everyone we work with is in a different situation and has a different story to tell. What we do is help you find a way to move on, free from fear and ready to face the future with confidence.
