Who we are

We are here for you. SARI provides free and confidential support to anyone who is targeted by hate for their race, faith, disability, sexual orientation, transgender identity, age, gender, or sex. We also work to build greater understanding for diversity and difference within our community.

What is hate crime?

A crime becomes a hate crime when it is motivated by hostility or prejudice on the following grounds: race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity. We also support people who have been targeted for their age, sex, or gender.

How we can help

If you’ve been a victim of hate crime or want to help someone who has, we’re here to give help, support and advice. Our service is free and completely confidential. And our team speak many different languages – so don’t worry if your English isn’t good.

What our clients say

For us, the most powerful and rewarding part of the work that we do, is hearing how we’ve helped our clients. Whether that’s giving them information, helping them find their own path, supporting them through their journey, or hearing they no longer live in fear. This is what makes our work worthwhile. You can read more in our latest Service User Evaluation Report.
